The product
ERFT supplies one product: shea butter that has been refined, bleached and deodorised (RBD), cosmetic grade. It is a plant fat, solid at room temperature, used in creams, lotions, balms, lip care and soap as an emollient and to give body to a formulation. Refining reduces its colour and odour, so it carries the colour and fragrance of the product it goes into.
Each batch is single origin. It comes from one identified West African origin and is never mixed or refined with other stock.
Produced to a defined specification
Natural shea butter varies from lot to lot. ERFT's process narrows that variation: one origin per batch, refining in the Netherlands to ERFT SPEC SB002 Rev 1, independent analysis and controlled storage. Each batch is analysed against the specification limits, and its results show where it sits within them.
