The chain

The chain in 4 stages
  1. Origin, West Africa. Each batch is single origin and is kept separate from other stock.
  2. Manufacturing, the Netherlands. Crude butter is refined to ERFT's specification by an experienced Dutch refiner in a food-grade processing environment.
  3. Quality assurance, the Netherlands. Analysis by an accredited Dutch laboratory against the specification limits.
  4. Supply from Dutch stock, near Rotterdam. Professional third-party warehousing near Rotterdam. Intra-EU movement for EU customers. EU-origin import for Switzerland.

Single origin, per batch

Single origin applies to each batch. Each stock is single origin and is never mixed or refined with other stock. The origin of the batch you receive is stated in its documents.

Who handles it

Every stage is carried out by a named role under a written instruction from ERFT: the origin supplier, the refiner, the laboratory and the warehouse. ERFT holds the specification and is accountable to you for the consignment.

Producer groups and aggregators who want to supply ERFT can read the standard for suppliers in Ghana.
